Frequently Asked Questions

Why won't my garage door close all the way?

Most of the time this comes down to the safety sensors near the bottom of the tracks — if they’re dirty, misaligned, or blocked by something in the door’s path, the opener will stop the door rather than risk closing on an obstruction. Wipe the sensor lenses with a soft cloth and make sure both sensors are pointed directly at each other, then try again.

If the sensors are clean and aligned and the door still won’t close, the issue is more likely a worn cable, a bent track, or a failing opener circuit board — those need a technician to look at it safely, since a door under spring tension can be dangerous to work on yourself.
